If you're reading this, then you might be interested in being a reporter for the best news agency in the galaxy and/or plane of existence. Here at Bakunawa Press, we expect our reporters to deliver stories, poems, and artworks that are out of this world, whether that means they be of intergalactic or fantastical proportions. We publish two zines per submission call, one focusing on fantasy, and the other on sci-fi. Our digitally produced works all have a flare to them that hopes to hook readers who, sadly, have no experience with the odd or extraordinary.

I find I like my scoops to be able to find the human aspect of the bulky grandiosity of the sci-fi elements where the character work is just as focused on as the more extraodinary components, that being said I'm not against a story completely focused on more speculative science. To me good work is good work no matter what form, so whatever shape your scoop takes make sure it lives up to everything it wishes to be.

I like off-beat fantasy that challenges expectations, character-driven drama, and well-written relationships, be they romantic, platonic, familial, or something else entirely. That being said, please send me anything and everything, especially if you think it'll make me tear up a little, or leave me wondering what the Hell just happened. Also, side note, I really love sarcastic "top-hat" characters, so bear this in mind when cooking up submissions ideas.
